The Scout · Evidence collection

Somebody is going to ask where that came from.

The Scout builds the paper trail first — every page it read, the day it read it, and what was actually on it. So when a finding says your competitor dropped a claim in March, you can open the page and see it for yourself.

The standard

Three things every source has to be.

Named, not summarised

Dated, not “recently”

Open it yourself, not take our word

How the trail gets built

Evidence you can check by hand.

A finding is only as good as the page behind it. This is the part that makes the rest arguable in a useful way.

01

We find the pages that matter

Homepage, product, pricing, about, announcements — for you and the competitor you name. Not everything you have ever published; the surfaces that actually shape the story.

02

We record what was there, and when

Each source is captured with a date attached, so a claim that quietly changes later becomes a finding instead of an argument.

03

We keep evidence and opinion apart

What the page said goes in one column. What we concluded from it goes in another. You can disagree with the second without doubting the first.

What you get back

A dated source register for your company and the competitor you name—every surface labelled, timestamped, and directly inspectable.

Where this comes from

No logins, no private data.

We read the pages your buyers read, the way they read them. There is no account access, no traffic estimate, and no guess about what anyone believes.

If a page cannot be opened and cited, it does not make it into the trail.
